What are the benefits of the IFEAT Virtual Conference?
There are plenty of benefits to the IFEAT virtual Conference. You will be able to access three days of content, including panel discussions with Q&A, videos from previous lectures, live speaker updates, crop reports and live sponsor webinars. If you book a Virtual Booth, you will have the opportunity to schedule and host private meetings with delegates on the platform before and during the event until 30 days after the event. If you sponsor, you will also be able to host your own 30 minute webinar (2 x 30 minute webinars for Gold sponsors). There are plenty of benefits so please keep an eye out for further communications!
What are the registration fees?
Registration fees have now been confirmed. You should have received an email that details prices and ticket types for the IFEAT Virtual Conference. If you haven’t received it, then you can find them on our website https://ifeat.org/ifeat-2020-virtual-conference/
When will registration open?
Registration will open on 17th November 2020, so please keep an eye out for announcements.
There is no set time that we open registration, so please clock the date in your diary and keep an eye on the IFEAT website on the day.
Is there a deadline date to register?
When registration opens, it will remain open until the day before the live event.
Can I get a delegate list?
No, we will not be providing a delegate list, however, if you register as a delegate virtual booth or sponsor, you will be able to view the list of registered delegates on the platform, and invite them to meetings.
If I register for the event as a delegate, can I request meetings with delegate and exhibitors (Virtual Booths)?
Yes, you can search through the list of delegates and exhibitors and request meetings with them.
I have booked as a delegate, what happens after registration?
From the 17th November 2020 until 30 days after the live event, you will be able to:
- Search the directory of exhibitors (Virtual Booths) and Sponsors and request meetings with them right away, until 30 days after the live event
- View the list of registered delegates on the platform
- Update your profile photo, which will be viewable during the three day live event in January
From the live event days (January 2021) until 30 days after the live event, you will be able to:
- View live panel discussions, Q&As, crop reports and presentations, on-demand video content
- Join live webinars hosted by our Sponsors
- Visit, message and ‘drop in’ to Virtual Booths
I have booked a Virtual Booth, what happens after registration?
From the 17th November 2020 until 30 days after the live event, you will be able to:
- Search the directory of exhibitors (virtual booths) and sponsors and request meetings with them right away, until 30 days after the live event.
- View the list of registered delegates on the platform and invite them to meetings with you.
- Update your profile photo, which will be viewable during the three day live event in January.
- Upload your booth information/company profile and assign booth staff
- Once booth staff are assigned, they will be able to update their profile photos, which will be viewable during the three day live event in January.
From the live event days (January 2021) until 30 days after the live event, you will be able to:
- View live panel discussions, Q&As, crop reports and presentations, on-demand video content
- Join live webinars hosted by our sponsors
- Host drop-in video meetings in your virtual booth (during the live event days)
- Visit, message and ‘drop in’ to other virtual booths
I have booked a Silver Sponsorship, what happens after registration?
From the 17th November 2020 until 30 days after the live event, you will be able to:
- Search the directory of exhibitors (Virtual Booths) and sponsors and request meetings with them right away, until 30 days after the live event
- View the list of registered delegates on the platform and invite them to meetings with you
- Update your profile photo, which will be viewable during the three day live event in January
- Upload your booth information/company profile and assign booth staff
- Once booth staff are assigned, they will be able to update their profile photos, which will be viewable during the three day live event in January
- Prepare your webinar and upload associated information, in preparation for the live event
From the live event days (January 2021) until 30 days after the live event, you will be able to:
- View live panel discussions, Q&As, crop reports and presentations, on-demand video content
- Join live webinars hosted by our Sponsors
- Host your own sponsor webinar during the time and date of your choice (selected during booking)
- Host drop-in video meetings in your Virtual Booth (during the live event days)

I have booked a Gold Sponsorship, what happens after registration?
From the 17th November 2020 until 30 days after the live event, you will be able to:
- Search the directory of exhibitors (Virtual Booths) and Sponsors and request meetings with them right away, until 30 days after the live event.
- View the list of registered delegates on the platform and invite them to meetings with you
- Update your profile photo, which will be viewable during the three day live event in January
- Upload your booth information/company profile and assign booth staff
- Once booth staff are assigned, they will be able to update their profile photos, which will be viewable during the three day live event in January
- Prepare your webinars and upload associated information, in preparation for the live event
- Upload banner graphics
From the live event days (January 2021) until 30 days after the live event, you will be able to:
- View live panel discussions, Q&As, crop reports and presentations, on-demand video content
- Join live webinars hosted by our Sponsors
- Host two of your own sponsor webinars on your sponsored day (selected during booking)
- Host drop-in video meetings in your Virtual Booth (during the live event days)
- Visit, message and ‘drop in’ to other Virtual Booths
How do I search for an attendee?
Navigate to the Directory in the appointments module. You can search through the list of attendees (delegates) or the list of exhibitors (Virtual Booths) and Sponsors.
You can always use the search box at the top to filter by name, email, company or title. You can also use the filter to help you search for delegates in different categories.
How do I set up a meeting with a delegate?
Only those who have a Virtual Booth can set up a meeting. In your calendar, when viewing an attendee (delegate) profile click on the ‘request appointment’ button. You can then proceed to select an available day and time slot for your meeting.
How do I set up a meeting with an exhibitor (Virtual Booth)?
Prior to the live event, in the directory, you can search the list of exhibitors (Virtual Booths) and click on the ‘request appointment’ button.
During the three day live event, you can search the list of Virtual Booths and ‘drop in’ to instant face to face meetings, or send them a message via the ‘contact us’ form in the booth.
If we have a Virtual Booth, how do delegates know when you are available?
Delegates can search the directory of exhibitors (Virtual Booths) and send meeting requests. Only available slots will be offered.
During the three day live event, delegates can drop into the booth and chat to booth staff, much the same as an in person event! They can also send them messages via contact form if they are unavailable.
Can I invite more than one person to a meeting?
Yes, if you have a Virtual Booth, you can invite a number of delegates into one meeting, you are not restricted to one person per meeting.
Can anyone enter a meeting?
During the three day live event, anyone can drop into the booth and chat to booth representatives, much the same as an in person event!
Private appointments can also be requested by delegates and scheduled by the booth representatives.
How do I upload company information, video and products?
If you have a Virtual Booth, you will be sent an email and will be given access to the platform to upload your company information.
We have registered our interest in Sponsorship, how do we secure our registration?
Sponsorships can be booked when registration opens. Tickets are limited, so in order to avoid disappointment, please book as soon as possible after registration opens.
We are interested in Silver Sponsorship, how do we secure a time slot for our 30 minute webinar?
The webinar day and time slots will be available on a first come first served basis when registration opens. You will be able to select your preference, based on availability at the time of booking.
We are interested in Gold Sponsorship, how do we select our preferred sponsorship day?
You can select your preferred sponsorship day when registration opens. This will be on a first come first served basis at the time of booking.
How do I provide details about our Sponsor webinar?
If you are a Sponsor you will be sent an email and will be given access to the platform to upload your webinar information (title of webinar, speaker details (names and bios), documents associated with the webinar such as PowerPoint). This information will be shown during the live event days.
I did not receive an SMS or email verification code
First check your spam/junk folder for the email confirmation. Another option is to click on the “didn’t receive code link” on VAH home page and try to have it sent again. If you still haven’t received the email, please contact [email protected]
Why did I get logged out?
For privacy reasons, your login only stays valid for 72 hours. You will also be logged out after 24 hours of inactivity. You will need to request a verification code once expired. If for any reason you are having difficulty logging back in, please use the Help Desk chat in the bottom right corner of the login page. If you have further questions, please contact [email protected]
How do I ensure the best video experience?
Just like any livestream, there are things you can do to ensure the best viewing experience. Make sure you have a strong internet connection. It also helps to close non-essential tabs in your browser. If you do experience buffering or your video freezes, reload the session page.
When I leave the session room, I can no longer hear the speaker
Your session experience is designed to be immersive. Just like an in-person session, if you leave the room you can’t hear the speaker! If you navigate to another event page, your session will stop. Simply click back into the session to return to the livestream.
I am getting an error message "Website 404: Page not Found"
The live event platform runs best on Google Chrome, if you are using a different web browser we recommend you switch. If you’re still experiencing the error: refresh your web-page, clear your cache and cookies, or try going into incognito mode.
Why am I experiencing audio/visual delays?
Check your bandwidth speed to make sure you’re not having issues with your connectivity. Logging out and logging back in and disconnecting from the VPN have also been found to help in this instance. If all else fails, sign on to the session from a different device.
Are the live sessions being recorded and will they be shared later?
Yes, the live sessions will be recorded and will be available in the live event platform a few hours after the broadcast.
