TRANSPORTATION FROM ATHENS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

The easiest and quickest way from Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” to the InterContinental Hotel, or any satellite hotel, is by taxi.  The fixed taxi fare to the InterContinental is 35 Euros during the daytime and 50 Euros during night time.

Alternatively there is a Metro service that runs from Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” to the city centre which takes around 40 minutes.  The InterContinental Hotel is a little outside of the city centre, so an additional tram ride is needed to the hotel from the Metro station.

Both the Registration Desk (for collection of delegate badges and bags) and the IFEAT Desk (for general enquiries) will be located on the -1 level of the InterContinental Hotel.

SHUTTLE BUSES

IFEAT is pleased to offer all Delegates and Accompanying Persons a complimentary daily shuttle bus from the Coral/Poseidon, Metropolitan and Athens Avenue hotels to the InterContinental.

  • Coral/Poseidon Hotel to InterContinental – 09:00
  • InterContinental to Coral/Poseidon Hotel – 16:00
  • InterContinental to Coral/Poseidon Hotel – 17:00
  • Metropolitan Hotel to InterContinental – 08:00
  • Metropolitan Hotel to InterContinental – 09:00
  • InterContinental to Metropolitan – 16:00
  • InterContinental to Metropolitan – 17:00
  • Athens Avenue Hotel to InterContinental – 08:00
  • Athens Avenue Hotel to InterContinental – 09:00

Please note: There are no shuttles between the Athenaeum Grand and the InterContinental as this is a short walking distance.

There will also be a coaches to and from the IFEAT Dinner and Closing Banquet:

IFEAT Dinner

Coaches depart at 18.45 from InterContinental/Coral/Poseidon/Metropolitan Athens Avenue Hotels (guests at Athenaeum Grand Hotel must make their way to the InterContinental and take the coach from there).

Closing Banquet

Coaches depart at 18.30 from InterContinental/Coral/Poseidon/Metropolitan Athens Avenue

Hotels (guests at Athenaeum Grand Hotel must make their way to the InterContinental and take the coach from there).

DRESS CODE

Business Smart is appropriate for all programmed events during the Conference, except the IFEAT Dinner (Smart Comfortable – suitable for an outdoor venue) and Closing Banquet (Elegant & Comfortable – suitable for an outdoor beach-side venue).
